Work on Real-world Research Projects in Los Angeles – Fully Funded Rips Internship 2026

The RIPS (Research in Industrial Projects for Students) Summer Internship 2026 offers talented undergraduates and recent graduates the opportunity to work on real-world research projects in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Conducted by the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM), this fully funded 9-week program pairs participants with academic and industry mentors to solve real problems faced by companies and organizations.

 Who Can Apply?

  • International students from all countries

  • Undergraduates and recent graduates (graduated no earlier than December 2025)

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

  • U.S. citizens are not eligible.

 What’s Covered?

  • Monthly stipend

  • Free housing and meals on the UCLA campus

  • Travel allowance

  • Site visit with sponsors

  • Visa support for selected international students

  • Partial travel support for conference participation

 Internship Areas:
Mathematics • Statistics • Computer Science

 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Strong academic background in quantitative or technical fields

  • Ability to work collaboratively on research projects

  • Must be available from June 22 – August 21, 2026
