Wellington Scholarship Program

The Wellington Doctoral Scholarship supports high-achieving domestic and international students pursuing full-time PhD studies at Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), New Zealand. It aims to promote world-class research across diverse disciplines.  Who Can Apply?  Domestic and international students  Graduates from any university, within or outside New Zealand  Students intending to enrol full-time for a PhD at Victoria University of Wellington  Students already enrolled for a PhD at VUW (for ≤6 months)  What is Covered?  Annual stipend of NZD $30,500 for up to three years  Full domestic tuition fees  Research and professional development support  Access to academic mentoring and VUW facilities  Eligibility Criteria  Applicants must:  Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with First Class Honours or equivalent academic distinction  Show strong academic merit, research potential, and excellent academic references  Submit a compelling research proposal aligned with VUW’s strategic or school-specific interests  Be accepted (or expect to be accepted within 3 months) into a PhD programme at VUW  Additional considerations may include:  Prior publication record  ...
