Utah State University (USU) is offering a graduate research assistantship opportunity for motivated Master’s or PhD students to join a multidisciplinary research team. The assistantship focuses on entomology, biology, agronomy, and related fields, providing hands-on research experience, professional development, and the chance to work closely with growers and extension programs.


 What the Scholarship Covers

  • Graduate tuition waiver
  • Stipend (amount determined by USU assistantship guidelines)
  • Research experience in field, greenhouse, and laboratory work

 Who Can Apply?

  • Applicants with a BS degree in entomology, biology, agronomy, or related disciplines
  • Domestic and international candidates are welcome

 Eligibility Criteria

  • Required:
    • BS degree in a related field
    • Valid driver’s license (fieldwork requires driving 2–4 hours from campus)
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with field or greenhouse work
    • Experience working with insects
    • Interest in working with growers and extension programs
    • Comfort with long-distance driving for fieldwork

 How to Apply
