The France Sophie Germain Scholarship supports exceptional international students pursuing advanced studies in mathematics. It provides generous financial assistance to help students study at the University of Paris-Saclay or Institut Polytechnique de Paris, covering living costs, accommodation, travel, and visa expenses.
Who Can Apply?
International students, especially those from outside the Paris-Saclay region, who want to pursue a Master’s or PhD-level pathway in Mathematics at participating French institutions.
What Is Covered?

€11,000 net per year for living and accommodation expenses

Enrollment support for eligible Master’s programs in Mathematics and Applications
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be international students (non-French), priority given to those outside Paris-Saclay

Be eligible for a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Applications at:

University of Paris-Saclay

Institut Polytechnique de Paris

Have strong academic performance, proven through transcripts and recommendation letters

Be enrolled in or applying to one of the specific Master’s tracks listed in the scholarship guidelines

For non-European students: obtain a Campus France file number for visa processing
How to Apply?

Apply for an eligible Master’s programme in Mathematics at Paris-Saclay or Institut Polytechnique de Paris.

Prepare your academic documents (transcripts, recommendation letters, CV, etc.).

Complete the online Sophie Germain Scholarship application form via the university portal.

Non-European students must also complete their Campus France procedure.
