The Fulbright Foreign Student Program provides approximately 4,000 grants annually for international students to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees or conduct research in the U.S. The program fosters mutual understanding between nations and is administered by Fulbright Commissions/Foundations or U.S. Embassies in each participating country.
Who Can Apply?
Students, researchers, and professionals from all backgrounds and disciplines (except clinical programs such as dentistry, medicine, and pharmacy). Applications from individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must reside in the nominating country at the time of application

Hold the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record
-
Proficiency in English (TOEFL 550 PBT / 79-80 iBT, or IELTS 6.5)

Must not hold U.S. citizenship or dual citizenship

How to Apply?

Applications are submitted through your local Fulbright office or U.S. Embassy.

Depending on your country, you may be placed through one of two models:

IIE-Placement: IIE applies on your behalf to U.S. institutions and manages placement.

Self-Placement: You apply directly to universities and manage your own admission process.

Submit all required documents, including transcripts, test scores, and recommendations, per your country’s guidelines.
