The Maastricht University (UM) NL-High Potential Scholarship 2026 offers outstanding international students from outside the EU/EEA the chance to pursue a fully funded Master’s degree. With a stipend, tuition fee waiver, and additional support, this program helps talented individuals gain world-class education in Europe’s most international university environment.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Hold a passport from a country outside EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Suriname
• Apply for a full-time Master’s program at Maastricht University for 2026–2027
• Must not have studied a full degree in the Netherlands before
• Be under 35 years old (as of 1 September 2026)
• Excellent academic results (minimum GPA of 7.5/10)
• Meet Dutch visa requirements
• Preference given to applicants without a prior Master’s degree

How to Apply?

1. Register for a Master’s program at Maastricht University via Studielink
2. Obtain a UM student ID
3. Complete the scholarship application form via the UM portal
4. Submit required documents:
   • CV (max 2 pages)
   • Motivation Letter (UM template)
   • Proof of Academic Excellence (transcript + GPA)
   • Financial Statement (why you need funding)
   • Reference Letter (academic/professional, not family)
