The Central South University (CSU) Scholarship 2026–2027 is a fully funded program for international students who wish to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degrees in China. The scholarship provides full financial support, including tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, and a monthly stipend.

 Who Can Apply?

  • International (non-Chinese) students from any country
  • Applicants in all academic fields

 Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be in good health and have no criminal record
  • Language requirements:
    • For Chinese-taught programs:
      • HSK4 ≥ 220 (science/engineering)
      • HSK4 ≥ 260 (arts/social sciences/medical)
      • HSK5 ≥ 200 (Chinese language/literature)
      • One-year Chinese preparatory course required if language standard not met
    • For English-taught programs:
      • IELTS ≥ 6 or TOEFL ≥ 85
      • Exemption if prior degree was taught in Chinese/English or if first/official language is Chinese/English
  • Educational & age requirements:
    • Bachelor’s: high school diploma, age 18–25
    • Master’s: bachelor’s degree, age 18–35
    • PhD: master’s degree, age 18–40
    • Applicants under 18 must be at least 16 and have a legal guardian in China
  • Postgraduate applicants must show a strong academic record and innovative research potential

 


 How to Apply

  1. Apply online via the CSU International Admissions portal.
  2. Submit required documents: application form, transcripts, degree certificates, language test results, study plan/research proposal, recommendation letters, passport copy, and health certificate.
  3. Applications are reviewed by CSU; shortlisted candidates may be interviewed.
  4. Final admission and scholarship results are published by the university.
