The Onsi Sawiris Scholarship supports outstanding Egyptian students to pursue undergraduate or master’s degrees in fields such as Engineering, Finance, Economics, Political Science, and Management at top U.S. universities. Scholars are expected to return to Egypt for two years after graduation to contribute to national development.

Who Can Apply?

• Egyptian nationals residing in Egypt (preference for single nationality)

• Undergraduates planning to begin studies in 2025

• Master’s applicants planning to study Business Administration or Engineering

• Students with strong academic performance and extracurricular involvement

What Is Covered?

• Full tuition fees at a top U.S. university

• Living expenses

• Travel and health insurance

• Additional program-specific support (depending on the university)

Eligibility Criteria:

Undergraduate:

• Egyptian nationality, residing in Egypt

• TOEFL iBT ≥ 100

• GPA ≥ 3.5 / 90% in Thanaweya Amma or equivalent

• SAT: Old SAT ≥ 2100 or New SAT ≥ 1450; SAT II ≥ 600 in three subjects (if applicable)

• Limited foreign residence (<3 years)

• Extracurricular participation

Master’s:

• Egyptian nationality, residing in Egypt

• TOEFL iBT ≥ 100

• GPA ≥ 3.5 / “Very Good” grade

• 3+ years professional experience

• GMAT ≥ 650 for MBA applicants

• GRE ≥ 302 overall and 4.5 Analytical Writing

• Limited foreign residence (<3 years)

• Extracurricular participation
