Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

  • Be citizens of African Union member states.

  • For undergraduate programs: be at least 18 years old and not older than 26 by 01 January 2027.

  • For master’s programs: meet program entry requirements (age limit typically around 35 depending on the institution; refer to guidelines).

  • For PhD programs: not to have reached 40 years by 01 January 2027.

  • Have applied for a full-time, on-campus Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s, MPhil, or PhD program at a Mauritian public Higher Education Institution listed in the official guidelines.

  • Meet all academic and language requirements of the chosen university.

How to Apply

  1. Apply first to a public higher education institution in Mauritius for a full-time on-campus program starting in 2026.

  2. Download the Mauritius Government Scholarship application form from the official education ministry website.

  3. Complete the form and attach all required documents, including:

    • Birth certificate

    • Academic transcripts and certificates

    • Copy of passport

    • Offer or acknowledgment from the Mauritian university

    • Medical certificate
