The Santa Fe Institute Undergraduate Complexity Research (UCR) Program is a 10-week fully funded residential program in Santa Fe, New Mexico, offering undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct independent research in complexity science under the guidance of expert mentors. Participants gain transdisciplinary research experience combining theory, methods, and data from physical, natural, and social sciences.
Who Can Apply?
Undergraduate students from any country enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program, including international students studying outside the U.S.
What Is Covered?

Travel support to/from Santa Fe, New Mexico

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program during the program

Must intend to return to at least one additional academic term after the program ends

Open to students from all backgrounds in physical, natural, social sciences, and mathematics
