The MEXT Scholarship (University Recommendation) is a Japanese government-funded program that offers full financial support to outstanding international students pursuing a Master’s or Doctoral degree at the Graduate School of Science, University of Tokyo starting October 2026. 

Who Can Apply? 

International students with excellent academic records who wish to pursue graduate studies in science fields at the University of Tokyo and meet all eligibility criteria (see below).
