Spend your summer in Germany conducting hands-on research at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB)! This fully funded 8-week summer program gives international Bachelor’s and Master’s students a chance to work alongside top scientists on research projects in areas like Photon Science, Quantum Materials, and Renewable Energy.
Who Can Apply?

Open to all nationalities (EU and non-EU students).

Currently enrolled undergraduate or master’s students in:

Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related fields.

Must have completed at least 2 years of full-time study.

Good English communication skills.
What’s Covered?
Monthly Allowance:

€1900 (for non-European students)

€1000 (for European students)
Travel Grant: -
Up to €800 (non-European) or €200 (European)
Free Accommodation
No IELTS / Application Fee Required
Eligibility Criteria

Must be a full-time enrolled student at the time of application.

Must participate for the entire program duration (6 July–28 August 2026).

Provide a Letter of Recommendation from a professor or researcher.
