The Hansen Leadership Institute (HLI) is a prestigious 3-week fully funded summer exchange program in California, USA. It brings together young leaders from around the world to learn conflict resolution, leadership, intercultural dialogue, and peacebuilding. Open to all academic backgrounds—no IELTS or application fee required.

Who Can Apply?

• Open to Undergraduate and Graduate students worldwide.

• Students of any academic field are eligible.

• Must be between ages 20 and 25 at the program start date.

• GPA is not part of selection criteria.

• Preference for those who have never visited the U.S.

For International Applicants:

• Must have completed at least two years of university education.

• Hold a valid passport.

• Provide a Letter of Recommendation from an academic advisor.

For U.S. Applicants:

• Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a U.S. university.

• Aged 20–25, with interest in international relations, diplomacy, or development.
