The University of Toronto Mastercard Foundation Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Scholarship offers full financial support to exceptional students from Sub-Saharan Africa. This program is designed to develop public health leaders equipped to strengthen health systems and drive positive social and economic development across the continent.

 What the Scholarship Covers

• Full tuition fees
• Travel expenses
• Housing and food allowance
• Books and academic materials
• Other living and program-related expenses

 Who Can Apply?

• Citizens currently residing in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Graduates of a partner institution of the Africa Health Collaborative (and not yet started a doctoral program)

 Eligibility Criteria

• Must hold a Master’s degree and demonstrate academic excellence
• Proven leadership qualities during undergraduate and Master’s studies
• Academically admissible to the Doctor of Public Health program at U of T
• Commitment to return to home country for the final 2 years of the program to contribute to Africa’s economic and social development

 How to Apply

1. Review eligibility and partner institution list on the University of Toronto Mastercard Foundation Scholarship website.
2. Apply for admission to the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program at the University of Toronto.
3. Submit the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship application with all supporting documents (transcripts, CV, personal statement, references).
4. Await review and possible interview before final selection.
