The NIG Summer Internship 2026 offers international Bachelor’s and Master’s students a fully funded 41-day research experience in life sciences at the National Institute of Genetics (NIG), Japan. Interns will conduct independent research under faculty mentorship, participate in presentations, and explore Japanese culture.
Who Can Apply:

Students from all nationalities interested in life sciences, genetics, and related fields
What Is Covered:

Round-trip airfare (up to 200,000 JPY)

Travel insurance
Note: Participants cover accommodation (approx. 70,000 JPY for 39 days), airport transfers, and personal expenses
