The Vienna BioCenter (VBC) Summer School 2026 is a fully funded nine-week summer research program for undergraduate and master’s students from around the world. Participants gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge life sciences research while enjoying Vienna’s cultural and social activities.

Who Can Apply?
Undergraduate (BA Hons) and Master’s (MSc) students in life sciences fields such as molecular biology, neuroscience, immunology, biochemistry, RNA biology, bioinformatics, or stem cell research. Open to students worldwide.

What Is Covered?

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to all nationalities

• Undergraduate students must have completed at least 2 years of a bachelor’s degree

• Master’s students must have completed at least 1 year of a master’s degree

• Good academic record in life sciences

• Majors in relevant fields: Molecular & Cell Biology, Chemistry, etc.

How to Apply:

• Complete the online application form

• Indicate three preferred lab heads for research

• Submit the enrollment certificate, transcript/exam results, proof of enrolment for next academic year, and personal statement

• Selection results will be announced in March 2026
