Who Can Apply?

What is Covered?
The Hertz Fellowship offers a compensation package valued at up to $250,000, with two flexible options:
Option 1 – Hertz Foundation Only:

$38,000 annual personal stipend (nine-month basis)

Full tuition equivalent

Renewable annually for up to five years

Additional $5,000/year stipend for fellows with dependent children
Option 2 – Coordination with Another Fellowship (e.g., NSF):

Full tuition equivalent + $44,000 annual personal stipend during Hertz period

$9,000/year supplemental stipend during NSF or other fellowship period

Renewable up to five years
