The Harvard LEAD Fellowship, offered by the Harvard Global Health Institute in collaboration with the Department of Global Health and Population at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, is a one-year hybrid fellowship (virtual and in-person) running from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027.

It brings together outstanding post-doctoral scholars, Harvard junior faculty, and global health professionals to advance their leadership, research, and communication skills through mentorship, training, and networking with global experts.

 Professionals from any country or region with a strong background in global health and leadership.


What is Covered?

Full coverage for the 6-week in-person residency at Harvard, including:

  • Round-trip flights to Cambridge, Massachusetts

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants from all countries, disciplines, and genders are eligible.

  • Must hold at least a master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in global health.

  • Must have employer support and be able to take a 6-week leave for the in-person component.

  • Must be eligible for a J-1 visa to the U.S.

  • Should not have participated in a full-time fellowship (4+ months) within the past 2 years.
