The UNIL Summer Research Program (SUR) 2026 is an 8-week fully funded international summer internship at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). Participants conduct individual research projects in biology, medicine, or related disciplines while taking part in social and cultural activities, including hikes in the Alps, swimming in Lake Léman, and exploring Swiss cities.

Who Can Apply?
Undergraduate students from any country with a strong interest in biological sciences.

What Is Covered?

• Free accommodation

• Living stipend: CHF 1,500

• Travel allowance: up to CHF 500 for Europeans, CHF 1,200 for non-Europeans

• Visa assistance (if required)

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be an undergraduate student who has completed at least two years of a bachelor’s degree

• Background in biology, medicine, or a related field

• Prior research experience is not required

• Open to students from all countries
