The Women Deliver 2026 Conference (WD2026) is offering fully funded Media Scholarships to support journalists, creators, and media professionals worldwide to attend and report on the event in Melbourne. The scholarships cover all costs, ensuring inclusivity for under-resourced communities, early-career media, freelancers, and those highlighting issues around gender equality, health, climate justice, and human rights.
Who Can Apply?
- Reporters, editors, producers, presenters, anchors
- Photojournalists, videographers, podcast/radio journalists, newsroom social media teams
- Freelancers and content creators covering social issues
- Priority for First Nations/Indigenous journalists, those with disabilities, refugees/IDPs, early-career journalists, and applicants from under-resourced communities
What is Covered?
- Full conference registration
- Free hotel accommodation during the conference
- Round-trip airfare (international or domestic)
- Visa fees and related costs
- Travel insurance
- Per diem for meals and local transport
- Accessibility support: Expenses covered for an accompanying person (for participants with disabilities or under 18)
Eligibility Criteria
- Background in media or content creation with a focus on gender equality, health, human rights, climate justice, development, or Oceanic Pacific issues
- Early-career journalists and first-time WD scholarship applicants encouraged
- Commitment to reporting and amplifying stories from the conference
